Tour tips for winter excursions at Lake Achensee

Winterwandern in den Karwendeltälern

Would you like to experience winter at Lake Achensee from its most beautiful side? Then we recommend exploring the snowy winter landscape of the Rofan or Karwendel mountains in warm winter boots or on snowshoes. The Achensee region offers a variety of winter hiking tours where you can enjoy the dreamlike nature while consciously experiencing the snow-muffled silence.

The best starting points for scenic snowshoe hikes at Lake Achensee are the quaint villages of Steinberg am Rofan and Achenkirch, as well as the Karwendel valleys in Pertisau. Depending on the snow conditions, visitors can set out on foot or on snowshoes.

In addition, our experts can assist with snowshoe rental and are happy to share their insider knowledge on the most beautiful snowshoe tours.
