station Maurach - Atoll Achensee with playship

Summer stories with Emperor Maximilian I

It was put into operation in 1959 and served as a fleet ship on Lake Achensee for almost 60 years. But the lake's ship St. Benedikt didn’t retire after that. After its registration had expired, it was hoisted out of Lake Achensee with huge cranes and - uniquely in Europe - converted into a play ship. Today, the 80-tonne vessel makes children's hearts beat faster with a colourful programme of games and events.

Not far from the playship, the Atoll Achensee beckons. An ultra-modern leisure attraction with panoramic pool, penthouse SPA, 25-metre sports pool, fun and outdoor pools, adventure slide, infinity pool, and sauna area with mountain views. The over 6000m² large facility also houses a lakeside gym with a great lake view, as well as a boulder hall for climbing enthusiasts. Cosy restaurants as well as indoor and outdoor bars provide the highest gastronomic enjoyment and warm hospitality.

You’re looking for fun, sport and enjoyment for the whole family? Then you should definitely pay the Atoll Achensee a visit!
