The audio tours are narrated by Emperor Maximilian I, one of the greatest admirers of Lake Achensee in his day, and his court jester Kunz von der Rosen. The narrated audio tours include information to listen to at 24 stations around Lake Achensee, including some tricky riddles and hand-drawn moving images. Ready to explore at your leisure? Then visit one, two or all of the stations in any order.
How is the audio tour structured?
All stations of the audio tour have a route and content. The route features a short description of how to get to the station, using GPS to measure your distance from the station. At each station, QR codes give you easy access to the audio tour. Listen to the stories narrated by the two aristocratic guides and learn interesting facts about Lake Achensee and its history. Use the menu in the upper right area to skip individual stations.
The first station provides instructions on how to use the audio tour. You can listen to the information everywhere and as often as you like. From the second station, the content will be unlocked on site via the map (GPS tracking) or via QR code, which is displayed on the respective interpretive panels (except station Seekarlspitze).
