Protection zone Karwendel

Please respect nature and observe our code of conduct for paragliders, hang-gliders and glider pilots: 

• Slow down when approaching nesting sites and groups of wild animals.
• Avoid low overflights and flying close to slopes and ridges at a distance of less than 300 metres.
• Refrain from flying during critical seasons (February to July).
• Avoid causing distress to wildlife. Panicked flight behaviour and prolonged hiding reduce the time spent foraging, which is a major threat to the survival of young wildlife.

Extreme caution is required in the two areas shown on the map. Please avoid flying over these areas.
