The "Achensee via ferrata camp" is run by certified mountain guides who assist participants in developing the required techniques, knowledge, and confidence to climb via ferrata. The guides also share information about equipment and how to stay safe in the mountains.
ITINERARY
Thursday, 13 June
- until 13.00 Arrival and check in at Hotel Klingler in Maurach
- 13.30 Meet and greet, dividing participants into groups
- 14.00 Departure to the via ferrata Christlumsiedlung
- 18.30 Group dinner at the hotel
- 20.30 Lecture “proper equipment & alpine safety"
Friday, 14 June & Saturday 15 June
- 07.30 Group breakfast
- 8.30 Ascent with the Rofan cable car in Maurach, followed by a hike to the Achensee 5-peak via ferrata
- Guided via ferrata tour with technical exercises, tips and tricks and information about the proper conduct in the mountains
- Summit victory followed by a stop for refreshments at a mountain hut
- 18.30 Group dinner at the hotel
- 20.30 Tour planning
Sunday, 16 June
- 07.30 Group breakfast
- 8.30 Guided tour according to skill level (route will be selected on site)
- Approx. 12.00 Return to the hotel and individual departure
Participants will receive the detailed schedule and packing list by email before the camp. The schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.

3 nights stay including half board at Hotel Klingler in Maurach, round trips with the Rofan cable car, small groups with state-certified mountain and ski guides, Goodie bag, photos of the participants

appropriate equipment (ankle-high boots, climbing harness, via ferrata set, helmet, etc.), backpack (sufficiently large), drinking bottle, climbing clothes, insulation jacket, rain jacket, sunglasses (sun protection), first aid package (small)
Limited number of participants per camp.
Appropriate fitness level, head for heights. Suitable for beginners and advanced climbers. Courses will be held in German, advanced language skills required.
