Up the mountain by cable car
The Rofan cable car operates daily from 08:30 to 17:00 up to and including 8 November, taking you up into a wintry mountain landscape. The first snow is already waiting for you at the top and, on a clear day, you’ll be treated to a magnificent view over the sea of clouds and the surrounding peaks. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of the first winter air and enjoy the view.
Wellness with lake views
As the weather outside grows cooler, it becomes all the more cozy indoors. Around Lake Achensee, you’ll find excellent wellness hotels, day spas and the Atoll Achensee with its Panorama-BAD and Penthouse-SPA. Treatments featuring Tiroler Steinöl® offer a particularly regional escape.
Ice bathing in Lake Achensee
What can you expect from ice bathing and ice swimming in Lake Achensee? An intense experience of nature that revitalizes both body and mind. Golf season is still ongoing
Make the most of the last days of autumn for a relaxing round of golf against the stunning mountain backdrop of Lake Achensee. The Golf- & Landclub Achensee in Pertisau is open daily from 09:00 to 15:00 until 8 November 2026 inclusive (driving range closed). You can also enjoy a round of golf at the 9-hole course in Achenkirch until 8 November.
Beat the autumn blues
Lace up your running shoes and off you go! A total of 183 kilometres of signposted running routes wind their way along Lake Achensee, through the Karwendel valleys and up onto more challenging trails. The crisp air and the colourful forests, set against the snow-capped mountain peaks, make November the ideal month to clear your head.
Paragliding at Lake Achensee
The flying areas around Lake Achensee are thermally very active and offer ideal conditions for paragliders. There are various options available in the region, ranging from paragliding lessons to tandem flights. You can find information on the flying areas, take-off and landing sites, restricted zones, and wind and weather conditions here.
Way more than a stroll
At Lake Achensee, the trails have stories to tell. On themed trails such as the “Wusel Lake Trail”, the “Pertisau Discovery Trail”, the “Geo.Trail”, or the “Achensee Nature Adventure Trail”, an autumn stroll turns into a colourful journey of discovery.
Tiroler Steinöl® Museum
How is valuable oil extracted from rock? At the Tiroler Steinöl® Vitalberg in Pertisau, you can immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Tiroler Steinöl.
