Achensee Kids Race
At the Achensee Kids Race on 6 March 2027, young ski touring enthusiasts can gain their first racing experience in a fun and playful setting. The course, which has been designed specifically for children, focuses on physical activity, the joy of winter sports and sharing the experience. Free from pressure yet filled with motivation and enthusiasm, children can discover the fascination of ski mountaineering. Every child will receive a medal as a memento of their achievement.

Programme - Achensee Kids Race on 6 March 2027
Race number collection
Race numbers for the Achensee Kids Race can be collected on the day of the event at the Rofan cable car valley station upon presentation of your registration confirmation.

- 08.15 - 09.30
- 11.00 - 12.00
From 08.30 | Ascent via the Rofan cable car
The ascent to the start area will take place via the Rofan cable car from 08.30.
14.00 | Start Kids Race
The race starts at 14.00 at the top station of the Rofan cable car / Erfurter Hütte at 1,840 m.
After the race | Prize-giving ceremony
The prize-giving ceremony will take place immediately after the children’s competition.
At the ceremony, every child will receive a medal, a goody bag, and a little surprise.
Until 17.00 | Descent
The descent via the Rofan cable car is possible until 17.00.
- Participation:
- Children aged between 5 and 14 can take part in the children’s competition.
- Participation is also possible with alpine skiing equipment; no touring equipment is required.
- You must bring your own equipment.
- Entry fee:

- What’s included:
- Finisher’s medal for all children
- Goodie bag (collected when you pick up your race number)
- Ascent and descent on the Rofan cable car for each participant, plus one accompanying adult (collected with your race number)
- Pasta party at the huts in the Rofan for participants: 1 meal + 1 drink (vouchers provided when you collect your race number)
Route changes: The organizer reserves the right to make last-minute changes to the route in the event of adverse weather conditions.
From 08.30, spectators can take the gondola up to the event area. The entire race can be viewed perfectly from the top station. Live music will provide entertainment throughout the day, and refreshments will also be available. Descent with the Rofan cable car is possible until 17.00.
