Achensee Ski Touring Fun
The Achensee Ski Touring Fun on 6 March 2027 is the ultimate event for anyone who wants to hit the slopes with friends in a relaxed team competition. Racing in teams of three, the focus is entirely on team spirit, good times, and the shared experience rather than setting the fastest time. Creative fancy dress is warmly encouraged on this short course, living up to the Olympic motto: taking part is everything. Best of all, the winning team isn't the fastest, but the one that comes closest to a secret target finish time.

How the competition works
In the Achensee Ski Touring Fun event, you’ll compete as a team of three. It’s not the fastest time that counts: the teams that come closest to a secret target time will win high-quality prizes.
Possible prizes include:

- Achensee puffer vests
- Achensee rucksacks with #love Achensee enamel mugs and Achensee Labello lip balm
- Penthouse-SPA vouchers for the Atoll Achensee
Two refreshment stations along the route provide plenty of energy along the way.

08.15 - 09.30 | Race number collection
Race numbers for the Achensee Ski Touring Fun can be collected on the day of the event at the Rofan cable car valley station upon presentation of your registration confirmation.
Each participant will receive two race numbers: one for the thigh and one for the rucksack.
From 08.30 | Ascent via the Rofan cable car
The ascent to the start area will take place via the Rofan cable car from 08.30.
10.30 | Start Achensee Ski Touring Fun
The route starts on the plateau below the former Buchauer Alm at 1,340 m. From there, the route follows a groomed slope, climbing around 490 metres in altitude to the top station of the Rofan cable car. For a detailed route map
After the race | Prize-giving ceremony
The prize-giving ceremony will take place 30 minutes after the race. This will be followed by the raffle prize draw.
From around 13:00 | After-race party
After the race, head to the after-race party at the huts in the Rofan.
The entry fee includes one meal and one drink per participant. You will receive your meal vouchers when you collect your race number.
Until 20.00 | Descent
The descent via the Rofan cable car is possible until 20.00.

- Costumes: Costumes are highly encouraged to add to the fun and festive atmosphere of the event, but dressing up is entirely optional.
Route changes: The Rofan ski touring area can be explored using the winter/ski resort map available at www.rofanseilbahn.at. Please note that the organizer reserves the right to make last-minute route changes due to adverse weather conditions, such as avalanche risks.
Liability and insurance: Each participant is expected to have competition insurance that includes rescue coverage. The organizer assumes no liability for injuries, deviations from the designated route, or other risks - participation is entirely at your own risk. Basic alpine knowledge is required for all participants. Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian.
From 08.30, spectators can take the gondola up to the event area. The entire race can be viewed perfectly from the top station. Live music will provide entertainment throughout the day, and refreshments will also be available. Descent with the Rofan cable car is possible until 17.00.
