Hochsteg Pertisau
At 14 metres high, the viewing platform is a modern construction that blends naturally with the landscape and affords fantastic views of the lake and the villages of Achenkirch, Maurach and Pertisau. Visitors climb up a metal staircase to a sightseeing lookout propped up by huge logs which rise dramatically from the water. By extending a vertigo-inducing platform, the structure becomes the perfect venue for “Chill & Jump #Achensee”, a spectacular event where the best cliff divers plunge into the waters of Lake Achensee.
The entire lakefront promenade, complete with viewing platform, bathing piers, comfortable seating steps and reed belt, was designed by the Stoll-Wagner team of architects from Innsbruck.
