Falkenhütte
The impressive Falkenhütte, managed by the Munich & Oberland section of the German Alpine Club, is situated at an elevation of 1,848 metres above sea level, right in front of the spectacular Laliderer Wände in the heart of the Nature Park Karwendel. This historic hut has been carefully renovated between 2017 and 2020. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of self-service food and drink.
Accommodations include double rooms, shared rooms, and a dormitory.
The approach to the Falkenhütte is from the Eng Alm on the Großer Ahornboden, with a walking time of ca. 2.5 hours. The hike to the Karwendelhaus via the Kleiner Ahornboden takes about 3 hours from the Falkenhütte. The Lamsenjochhütte can be reached via the Großer Ahornboden and the Binsalm in about 4.5 hours.

The Falkenhütte is expected to reopen in early June 2026.
