This was our first time at the Posthotel Achenkirch, and we were simply thrilled. From the very first minute, we felt welcome and completely at ease. What this hotel offers is truly top-notch: • Culinary Delights & Breakfast: The culinary offerings are absolutely superb. The breakfast, in particular, was outstanding – a variety and quality that leaves nothing to be desired and guarantees the perfect start to the day. • Service & Team: What impressed us most, however, was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They were so attentive and friendly, as if we'd known each other for 30 years. You don't feel like an anonymous guest, but rather like you're among good friends. • Wellness & Spa: The facility is spacious, beautifully designed, and offers pure relaxation. A true haven of the highest caliber. It was our first stay, but certainly not our last. If you're looking for a hotel that combines top quality with an incredibly personal and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place for you. A huge thank you to the entire team for this wonderful getaway!

Overall, we had a lovely stay at Lake Achensee and gladly give it 5 stars. The hotel itself is very well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool and spa area are particularly noteworthy, truly inviting for relaxation. The food on Easter Sunday was excellent, and the service that day was very attentive and friendly – truly top-notch! Unfortunately, the following day was a stark contrast: the service was disappointing, as was the food. There were only two open red wines to choose from, both of rather poor quality. When we asked, we were initially told there was no alternative. Only after we asked the head waiter were we finally offered a good alternative – but unfortunately, it was too late, as the atmosphere had already soured. A real shame. In this price range and hotel category, this is, in our opinion, completely unacceptable. Overall, a good stay with room for improvement in the service – especially regarding the beverage selection. Despite this, we're still giving it 5 stars 🌟 because the vast majority of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Many thanks, see you soon 🤗

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel last year and the year before as well. All the activities offered are fantastic, and the spa is truly incredible. The rooms are great, and the service is excellent. The breakfast buffet is perfect. My only slight complaint is the quality of the evening meals and afternoon tea; it seems to decline slightly from year to year… So perhaps they could pay a little more attention to the evening buffets? Apart from that, everything is wonderful. It's always a great change of scenery and a breath of fresh air.

This was our second stay, precisely because the first one last year was so enjoyable. Booking via the website was straightforward. In January, we discovered that the rate for the country house suite had dropped by 25% since our booking in autumn. Upon request, we were able to easily rebook. Arrival is directly into the parking garage. Instead of dark concrete corridors, you arrive in a charmingly designed cul-de-sac. You leave your car and luggage, and the latter is later found neatly organized in your room. Check-in was courteous and informative, and a welcome drink was included. A special thank you to Wiebke, who gave us a tour of the hotel and showed us the way to our room. Anyone wanting more detailed information about the hotel should visit the website. Virtual tours are also available there. The hotel is large and consists of several buildings. The walk to your room through the lovingly and quaintly furnished corridors is pleasant. However, if you have mobility issues, it's advisable to request a room near the main building when booking. Elevators are available throughout the hotel. This is an adults-only hotel, and those who appreciate this style will love it. The breakfast and dinner buffets are lavish, leaving virtually nothing to be desired. In the evenings, you can order the daily specials from the à la carte menu and enjoy the buffet at the same time. This is a bit unusual, but once you get used to it, it's very convenient. An afternoon snack is also available if you wish. All the staff in the restaurant are very courteous and helpful. The only slight drawback: there were dozens of types of cheese, but unfortunately, we couldn't find any crackers. We stayed in a country-style suite. It was spacious, with a separate bedroom, a separate toilet, a bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and bidet, all with a beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. Besides the restaurant, the other highlight is the spa and sauna area. We've never seen either of these facilities this large anywhere else. Everything is very clean, well-heated, and spacious. Towel bags are provided in the rooms, and additional towels are available upon request in the sauna area. The design, spaciousness, and cleanliness are outstanding. We stayed in a country-style suite. The ban on mobile phones in restaurants and, of course, in the bathing and sauna area, definitely contributes to peace and relaxation. The bar was also very cozy. The waiters were quick and polite. In our opinion, there was a rather large selection of sweet cocktails. This could certainly be expanded. However, the bartenders and waiters readily fulfilled requests for mixed drinks that weren't on the menu. You should carefully review the available rooms on the hotel's website, as everyone's preferences and expectations vary. But most people will find something suitable; the selection is exceptionally diverse. There are daily activities, many of which are included. We had particularly positive experiences with Kung Fu and Tai Chi. The activities are announced at reception. In addition, each room has a tablet where you can find information. The Atrium Spa offers massages and other wellness treatments. Our table neighbors were very satisfied. One curious detail: We noticed the color combination of anthracite and turquoise in the staff's clothing and sometimes in other items. It's quite appealing. However, in Germany it is linked to Motel One. The Posthotel has very little in common with that.

Once again: A place for relaxation and fine dining. We tried out the 7,000 square meter sauna, pools, etc., and tested different rooms. It was simply OK, and we've booked it for our next vacation. We always deliberately book a room away from the restaurant so we can enjoy a walk before and after meals. When we go swimming, it's always an extra walk, since we want to exercise. A rambling hotel? Absolutely, we love the slightly rambling hotel; it seems to have grown organically over several years, which makes it interesting. Even the koi in front of the stairs are lovely to us.

This was our first time at this beautiful, traditional hotel. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival, parked our car in the underground garage where our luggage was taken care of, and were then offered a welcome glass of Prosecco and a delicious snack in the bistro. Back at reception, we were given a short tour of the hotel and then taken directly to our room. Our room (country house style) was very cozy, spacious, and above all, very clean. The furniture wasn't new and modern, but well-maintained and authentically rustic, and we felt very comfortable. The spa area is truly fantastic, with many different saunas, pools, and relaxation areas throughout (though more attention should be paid to the unauthorized use of mobile phones and to loungers reserved with towels). The food in the restaurant was also delicious. Guests could choose from the buffet and set menu; everything was very fresh, attractively presented, and the service was first-class. Mohamed was always very friendly, courteous, and attentive, advising and looking after us. For my birthday, I was treated to a lovely, thoughtfully set table with a little surprise at breakfast and again in the evening, which I really appreciated. The sports activities were also fantastic; we participated in water aerobics every day. A huge thank you to Katja and Nikita – you do a wonderful job! All the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the whole place has such a special charm. You can feel the attention to detail everywhere; we felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, the five days went by too quickly, and we would have loved to stay another night. Our room was available, but we were quoted about €160 more for the extra night than the average price for the other nights. We found that a bit steep and still don't understand it. Tiered pricing is fine, but since I was already in the room and had been there for five days, the price for the other nights would have been more appropriate. So we left. Nevertheless, it was a very relaxing holiday, and we will definitely be back.
