The Posthotel Achenkirch invites its guests on a journey to the self. The five-star hotel for adults only offers plenty of space to try out and rediscover oneself: whether it's taking lessons with the Shaolin master, promoting inner balance with the help of the doctor for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) or regaining one's strength with the extensive range of sports on offer, including tennis, golf, squash, hiking and cycling. The hotel's Lipizzaner horses, one of the largest private breeds in Europe, are available for horseback riding encounters. The spacious water and sauna world offers 7,000 square metres of retreat and relaxation. Culinary delights include daily TCM dishes and classic Tyrolean cuisine with products from the hotel's own farm.

Inntal motorway A12 (toll sticker required), Wiesing exit, Achensee federal road B181 to Achenkirch. A toll-free journey is also possible via the Achenpass or Bad Tölz. From Munich to the Holzkirchen, Tegernsee, Achenpass or Bad Tölz motorway exit - across the state border to Achenkirch.

Arrival by public transport: By train to Jenbach train station. From there by public bus to Lake Achensee.

The closest airports are Innsbruck (approx. 50km), Munich (approx. 140km) and Salzburg (approx. 150km).

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. From the team to the rooms, the relaxing factor, the wellness and water worlds to the restaurant and food. We only stayed for 3 nights this time but we will definitely return and stretch the stay a bit. The restaurant team was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, they made an extra effort to find us a table at which I felt comfortable for our entire stay - despite them pretty much being fully booked. The aim was to have a relaxing time and they've all done their best at every step to make sure this was achieved. I'm very happy that this is an adults-only hotel, that way, there was no stress with screaming children and that too, is a hugely relaxing thing for me. We could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. All the guests are equally interested in peace and relaxing so there was not a single loud and distrubing moment. Smartphone and electronic devices are banned from most areas, in order to help the mind relax as well. That's the only thing that people often chose to ignore and used their phones in the pool areas and in the restaurant despite the official request not to use them. But we will certainly be back!

Wir waren nur eine Nacht im Posthotel. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir hatten sehr schönes, ruhiges Zimmer. Das Hotel bietet viele Möglichkeiten sich den ganzen Tag dort aufzuhalten. Dies haben wir nicht genutzt, da wir zum Wandern vor Ort waren. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, abwechslungsreich und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Schon der Empfang an der Rezeption war sehr herzlich, informativ und professionell. Alle Mitarbeiter mit denen wir Kontakt hatten, leben den Service am Hotelgast. Vielen lieben Dank an das ganze Team für einen kurzen, aber sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt.

Hotelbericht – Aufenthalt im Posthotel Achenkirch Unser Aufenthalt im Posthotel Achenkirch war insgesamt von Licht und Schatten geprägt. Das Hotel bietet einige sehr schöne Aspekte, weist aber auch Punkte auf, die unseren Aufenthalt etwas getrübt haben. Bereits bei der Ankunft gab es den ersten kleinen Dämpfer. Beim Check-in wurden wir leider nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass das Bistro bereits in etwa 30 Minuten schließt. Da wir nach der Anreise davon ausgingen, noch in Ruhe etwas essen zu können, verpassten wir somit gleich unsere erste Mahlzeit. Ein kurzer Hinweis durch die Rezeption hätte dies problemlos verhindern können und wäre aus unserer Sicht ein wichtiger Bestandteil eines aufmerksamen Empfangs gewesen. Gebucht hatten wir eine Schlössl Suite. Die Suite war zwar großzügig geschnitten und das Wohnzimmer wirkte hell und angenehm, allerdings empfanden wir die übrigen Räume als sehr dunkel. Insbesondere Schlaf- und Badezimmer verfügten über kaum beziehungsweise teilweise gar keine Fenster nach außen. Dadurch entstand tagsüber ein etwas bedrückendes Raumgefühl, das nicht ganz unseren Erwartungen an eine Suite dieser Kategorie entsprach. Kulinarisch hingegen wurden wir positiv überrascht. Das Essen war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts hervorragend. Die Gerichte waren geschmacklich ausgezeichnet, hochwertig zubereitet und schön präsentiert. Ebenso überzeugte der Service im Restaurant. Das gesamte Team war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Petra, die mit ihrer natürlichen Freundlichkeit, ihrer Professionalität und ihrer herzlichen Art unseren Aufenthalt im Restaurant jedes Mal zu einem besonderen Erlebnis gemacht hat. Der Bade- und Wellnessbereich ist sehr großzügig angelegt, wirkt jedoch durch zahlreiche Erweiterungen über verschiedene Bauphasen hinweg etwas verwinkelt und zusammengewürfelt. Gerade beim ersten Besuch fällt die Orientierung nicht leicht. Gleichzeitig bietet die Anlage eine beeindruckende Vielfalt an Saunen, Ruhebereichen und Wasserwelten. Ein echtes Highlight ist der „Versunkene Tempel“. Dieser Themenbereich ist außergewöhnlich schön gestaltet und schafft eine besondere Atmosphäre.

5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly perfect stay! The Posthotel Achenkirch is a place where you unwind from the moment you arrive. The entire property is beautifully designed, meticulously maintained, and exudes a special tranquility. The spa area is exceptional – spacious, stylish, and full of thoughtful details. The food was top-notch, with a fantastic selection and outstanding quality. We would also like to particularly commend the attentive and warm service – every member of staff was friendly, professional, and contributed to our complete comfort. If you are looking for relaxation, indulgence, and a luxurious ambiance, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend the Posthotel Achenkirch!

We really liked this hotel. When we arrived, we received a thorough tour of what the hotel has to offer. We were delighted by the large spa with beautiful pools, saunas to relax in. The horse stables where we went to pet the beautiful horses. The hotel had something for everyone. The room was high quality and clean. The breakfast was very varied and delicious, there were so many options that everyone would surely be satisfied! You could go to lunch in your bathrobe straight from the spa. The food was delicious and the views from the terrace were amazing. The hotel surroundings were beautiful and worth exploring.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Posthotel d’Achenkirch ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par un personnel d’une grande gentillesse, toujours souriant, disponible et aux petits soins. Leur professionnalisme contribue vraiment à rendre le séjour exceptionnel. Le spa est tout simplement magnifique : plusieurs piscines, des espaces de détente superbes et une atmosphère propice au bien-être et à la relaxation. Un véritable havre de paix où l’on se ressource pleinement. Mention spéciale également pour le petit-déjeuner, qui est tout simplement exceptionnel. Le choix est impressionnant, les produits sont frais, variés et de grande qualité. Il y en a pour tous les goûts, c’est un vrai moment de plaisir chaque matin. Une adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter et où nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Das Hotel ist einfach nur ein Traum. Die Zimmer groß und wunderschön.Das Frühstücksbuffet ist einzigartig sehr große Auswahl ,einfach nur Top. Das Personal alle sehr freundlich, von Kellner bis Rezeption, Spa - Bereich allen ein großes Lob. Das Hallenbad wie Schwimmbad einfach genial. Der Spa Bereich top , ich habe mir eine Shaoline Massage gegönnt und war Hammer und super. Wir hatten auch Reitstunde und auch das war genial. Fazid wir kommen wieder
