Fantastic stay at Lake Achensee – we'd love to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful time at Hotel St. Georg am See. The facilities are truly fantastic and exactly meet the high standards one would expect in this beautiful area. We would especially like to highlight the outstanding cuisine – the food was a delight every single time! The service is also superb: the entire team is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A personal highlight for us was the daily chat with the owner. You immediately feel welcome and right at home. As a final touch, it would be nice if a fresh bottle of water were provided in the room daily (we received one bottle on the first day). But that's really nitpicking – otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect! Many thanks to the entire team for the wonderful time!

We spent three nights at the Hotel St. Georg zum See in Maurach on Lake Achensee and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We were particularly impressed by the dinners: Every evening, we were treated to a creative and varied selection of regional ingredients, given a modern twist and expertly prepared. It's clear that the chefs cook with passion and place great emphasis on quality and enjoyment. A big compliment is also due to the entire team. All the staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and always in good spirits. The owners were also present, approachable, and their friendly manner created a particularly personal atmosphere. Our room faced the street and offered a beautiful view. Despite its location, it was pleasantly quiet, allowing us to sleep soundly. We would have liked the room even more if, for hygiene reasons, it had been equipped with parquet or wooden flooring instead of carpeting. One minor drawback was the situation at the electric car charging station: The parking spaces in front of it were consistently occupied by combustion engine vehicles throughout our stay, as soon as we returned to the hotel, making the charging station unusable. It would be a good solution to mark at least one of these parking spaces with a colored marker or to reserve it specifically for charging electric vehicles. Overall, we felt very comfortable from the first day to the last and can wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel St. Georg am See. We would love to come back!

A truly wonderful, small, family-run hotel where you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything is furnished with great attention to detail, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We would especially like to highlight the incredibly friendly and attentive staff – you can immediately tell that hospitality is a way of life here. We were particularly impressed by the owner herself, who was always present, pitched in wherever needed, and personally ensured that the guests felt comfortable. It is precisely this personal and warm approach that gives this hotel its special charm. We felt completely at ease and would love to return. Highly recommended!

Wir waren 11 Mädels mit Motorrädern im Hotel für eine Nacht und haben es sehr genossen. Top Service, sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und sensationelles Essen. Ein Frühstück dass keine Wünsche mehr offen lässt. Eine tolle Adresse. Und gerne wieder einmal.

We felt completely at ease from the very first moment. The entire staff is incredibly attentive, warm, and friendly. The Hundsbichler-Wechselberger family are hosts with heart and create an atmosphere where you immediately feel welcome. The house is furnished with great attention to detail. The decor is harmoniously coordinated, inviting, and cozy. We were particularly impressed by the stunning terrace and the new spa area, which invite you to relax and unwind. The culinary offerings leave nothing to be desired. Breakfast is exceptionally varied – from vegan options like hummus, fresh sprouts, and juices to fresh eggs and ham, there's something for everyone. Dinner was also excellent and delicious every day. One small suggestion for improvement would be a shelf in the bathroom. However, this is truly a minor point. Otherwise, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back! 😊

What can I say…very beautiful and spacious rooms. A very good breakfast buffet. And dinner was sensationally good, too. Not to forget, a very friendly and attentive staff. And then there's the spa area, which leaves nothing to be desired.

A beautiful hotel with exceptionally harmonious decor – the design, atmosphere, and layout are perfectly coordinated and immediately captivated us. We would especially like to commend Cathrin. Her warm, open, and attentive nature makes all the difference and creates a truly welcoming atmosphere. The sun terrace overlooking Lake Achensee is a dream, especially the swing. The dinner and service are also outstanding – we have rarely enjoyed such delicious and beautifully presented food. After the many sporting activities around Lake Achensee, the sauna was the perfect place to relax. We would love to come back!

Super friendly hosts, you really feel welcome here. Great spa area, very modernly furnished. Excellent cuisine; if you can't find something to your liking here, it's your own fault. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean. We'll be back.
