The “Achensee Ski Touring Fun” is on the program for the first time – an event where the Olympic motto “the most important thing is not winning or losing, but taking part” is the focus. In teams of three, the aim is to master 490 meters of altitude together, to experience team spirit and the joy of ski touring. Not only unforgettable moments await you, but also great prizes – and the best part: it's not about the time, but about having fun and being together.
You will compete in the ski touring competition as a team of three.

- Registration: Pre-registration is mandatory. The deadline is 20 February 2025 at 23.59. The event will only take place if at least 20 teams participate. However, the number of participants is limited to 250 people.
- Race number collection: Race numbers can be picked up with a registration confirmation on Friday, 21 February 2025, from 10.00 to 20.00 and on the race day until 8.30 at the Rofan cable car station. Participants will receive two race numbers - one for the thigh and one for the rucksack.
- Equipment: While SKIMO-compliant equipment is recommended, it is not mandatory for participation.
- Costumes: Costumes are highly encouraged to add to the fun and festive atmosphere of the event, but dressing up is entirely optional.
- Cable car access: Exclusive rides for athletes will start at 8.00 on the day of the race with the Rofan cable car.
Route changes: The Rofan ski touring area can be explored using the winter/ski resort map available at www.rofanseilbahn.at. Please note that the organizer reserves the right to make last-minute route changes due to adverse weather conditions, such as avalanche risks.
Liability and insurance: Each participant is expected to have competition insurance that includes rescue coverage. The organizer assumes no liability for injuries, deviations from the designated route, or other risks - participation is entirely at your own risk. Basic alpine knowledge is required for all participants. Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian.
Regulations: The event follows the guidelines and standards of Skimo Austria.
EUR 120 per team, which includes attractive goodie bags, refreshments at the stations, pasta dishes at the race party, and a return trip with the Rofan cable car.
From 8.30, spectators can take the gondola or alternatively, hike up to the event area. From the start/finish area, you will have an excellent view of the entire race. Celebrate from 13.00 at the race party with plenty of food, drinks, and live music. The festivities end at 16.30, followed by the descent with the Rofan cable car.
