From spring to late autumn, Lake Achensee is a mecca for running enthusiasts, offering event highlights such as the running camp or the Achensee Run on the first weekend of September. The region surrounding Tirol’s largest lake boasts 183 kilometres of waymarked running trails of varying range and difficulty through some of Tirol’s most spectacular topography –  along the lakeshore, in the valleys or in the mountains. Lake Achensee offers runners the perfect opportunity to start the running season under professional guidance. The extended course weekend is perfect for all athletes who usually run distances between five kilometres and a half-marathon. Expert coaches share tips and tricks on effective training and technique. Analyses and talks on training and nutrition provide valuable information for the running season. Local guides will also take part in the races and share their insider knowledge on the best routes at Lake Achensee.
