Ski areas in the region
The Christlum lifts in Achenkirch, the Rofan cable car in Maurach, the Karwendel cable car and the Planberg and Wiesen lifts in Pertisau, and the lifts in Steinberg and Wiesing offer a total of 53 kilometres of diverse slopes at altitudes of up to 1,900 metres. The region is a favourite for families, offering broad, well-groomed runs that ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for skiers of all ages and skill levels.

Achensee winter cruises
From 29 January to 8 March 2026, the Achenseeschifffahrt will operate its winter route, connecting Pertisau with the Scholastika pier in Achenkirch. Hop on board to experience the wintry magic of the lake from a relaxed perspective on the water. A boat trip is also the perfect way to complement other activities, such as a scenic winter hike.
