Tirolean Mountain Christmas in Achenkirch

Step into the enchanting world of the Sixenhof farm, where the centuries-old stable comes to life with life-size figures and live animals, transporting you back to days gone by. Experience the unique Achental rendition of the birth of Christ, beautifully narrated with captivating wall projections. Your ticket to the Tirolean Mountain Christmas also opens the doors to the exhibition rooms of the Sixenhof local history museum. In the farmer's bedroom, you can admire a traditionally adorned Christmas tree and one of the oldest nativity scenes in the Achental. Tip: Take a scenic boat trip with the Achenseeschifffahrt to the Scholastika pier, from where it's a 15-minute walk to the captivating Mountain Christmas at the Sixenhof local history museum.

Opening hours & admission

The Tirolean Mountain Christmas runs from 28 November to 28 December 2025 and is open Friday to Sunday and on public holidays (groups can book at any time).
