Lamsenjochhütte

The hut is a popular destination for hikers and climbers and can be reached from a number of different starting points, including the Gramai Alm in the Falzthurntal (Pertisau), the Große Ahornboden (Eng Alm), or the Stallental (Inntal).

The Lamsenjochhütte has a rich history, having first opened in 1906. It was rebuilt two years later after being destroyed by an avalanche and has been extended and renovated many times since. The area around the hut is characterised by breathtaking alpine scenery, with the 2,508 metre high Lamsenspitze attracting experienced mountaineers. The Lamsenjochhütte is an excellent starting point for a number of tours of varying difficulty, leading to other peaks in the Karwendel mountains, such as the Schafjöchl, Hahnkampl and Sonnjoch. It is also the end of stage 8 of the Eagle Walk long-distance hiking trail and the beginning of stage 9 to the Falkenhütte.

It also offers a winter room that can accommodate six people, catering to ski tourers during the colder months.
