It enjoys a beautiful location surrounded by alpine pastures at an elevation of 1,475 metres between the Rofan and the Blauberge mountains. In 2026, the hut celebrates its 100th anniversary. Climbers find over 30 routes on the nearby rocky Abendstein. The menu includes hearty regional specialities, excellent Reutberg beer, exquisite wines, and other tasty drinks.

Unless there are overnight bookings, the restaurant and kitchen will close at 17:00. If you plan to arrive later on a weekday in autumn, please call ahead.
In winter, a shelter (winter room) is available and freely accessible without an Alpine Club key.
