From the top station of the Rofan Cable Car, keep left and head west. A well-maintained trail leads downhill past the snowmaking reservoir and then continues almost level to a viewpoint bench. The route then descends gently to Dalfaz Alm (1,693m, approx. 1 hour). From there, a grassy path, later becoming rocky, climbs up to the Steinernes Tor (1,955m). The return is via the same route.
