From the starting point, the route leads into the Tristenautal valley which is dominated by the Dristenkopf. At the valley end, follow the forest road on the left in the direction of Bärenbadalm. After the climb over the Hörndlgraben you will reach the Bärenbadalm (1,457 metres, serviced).
