A beautiful hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. The spa is fantastic, with many amenities. The food is superb and leaves nothing to be desired. The entire team is attentive and incredibly friendly. All in all, 100% recommended :)

It was my first time there. A fantastic hotel. Beautiful room with a stunning mountain view. The breakfast was truly excellent. The dinner menus were always delicious. The whole atmosphere was wonderful; I felt very comfortable there. The spa treatments at the hotel are very good. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I think the hotel's location is superb. It's so quiet in the evenings that you can only hear cowbells. Lake Achensee is beautiful. The hikes are lovely. And the view from the top is breathtaking. I will definitely come back.

Absolut herausragender Aufenthalt im Sonnenhof Pertisau am Achensee Meine Frau und ich durften vom 19.09. bis 26.09. im Sonnenhof in Pertisau unseren Urlaub verbringen und waren rundum begeistert. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Loft Suite, die keine Wünsche offenließ. Das gesamte Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das fantastische Frühstück. Das Buffet war einfach außergewöhnlich: eine riesige Auswahl, hochwertige Bio-Produkte, alles frisch zubereitet und mit viel Liebe präsentiert. So ein Frühstück haben wir nur selten erlebt. Auch das Essen insgesamt war hervorragend und von höchster Qualität. Man merkt in jedem Bereich, dass hier großer Wert auf Frische, Regionalität und Genuss gelegt wird. Ein ganz besonderes Lob verdient das gesamte Team. Selten haben wir so freundliche, herzliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter erlebt. Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise wurden wir stets mit einem Lächeln begrüßt und hervorragend betreut. Für uns war dieser Aufenthalt einer der schönsten und gelungensten Hotelaufenthalte überhaupt. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt und konnten die Woche am Achensee in vollen Zügen genießen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team des Sonnenhofs. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder! 5 Sterne sind eigentlich noch zu wenig. Absolute Empfehlung! 😊

This was our first time at this hotel, and we felt completely at ease from the very beginning. Our room was lovely and spacious, and it truly lacked nothing. Breakfast and dinner were also excellent. We particularly appreciated the emphasis placed on healthy and varied food. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. The entire hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The pleasant and welcoming atmosphere made us feel almost at home. We would love to return and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel with sensational service. We stayed there with our dog, and every extra request was fulfilled. The staff and the owner were wonderful. The food was very good, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We'll definitely be back. The spa area was brand new and well-equipped. The fitness room was also completely renovated.

This was our first time at Lake Achensee and the Sonnenhof Hotel, and it was wonderful! A beautiful, peaceful location near the golf course, a sensational breakfast (Budwig quark!) and dinner (especially the fish dishes), and incredibly warm and welcoming service! The spa area is also lovely. Unfortunately, our dog had some health issues during our stay, and we had to make some last-minute changes to our plans. We received a great deal of understanding and support, and we would like to thank them again most sincerely! You can tell it's a long-established family business and not a modern, often superficial design hotel, so you really feel comfortable and well cared for. We would love to come back again!

My wife and I first discovered beautiful Lake Achensee more than 25 years ago. At that time, we were looking for a place where we could spend our holidays with our children, and it was here that we found a Kinderhotel where we enjoyed many wonderful family moments together – both in summer and in winter. Achensee has therefore always been a place full of very special memories for us. Time passes, the children have grown up and now have lives of their own. And after all these years, my wife and I returned to Achensee – this time just the two of us. Without the children, we suddenly had the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful place in a slightly different way. We were no longer tied to half-board in a family hotel and could spend more time doing something we both really enjoy – discovering good food, wine and great restaurants. And that is how we discovered ESSBAR in Pertisau, the restaurant at Hotel Sonnenhof. At first, it was the food that brought us here. Excellent steaks, wonderful fish and the kind of cooking that makes you want to come back. But we soon discovered that there is something perhaps even more special about ESSBAR than the food – the incredibly warm, friendly and almost family-like atmosphere. There is nothing formal or impersonal about it. You never feel like you are simply another guest. From the very beginning, we felt genuinely welcome and comfortable here. So this time, we decided not only to return to ESSBAR for dinner, but also to stay at Hotel Sonnenhof itself. And we are very happy that we did. Sonnenhof is exactly the kind of hotel we love. It is not a large, anonymous hotel, but a place with its own character and, most importantly, wonderful people who create its special atmosphere. We felt relaxed, comfortable and truly welcome throughout our stay. And in the evening, we could look forward to another visit to ESSBAR, great food and the warm atmosphere that made us fall in love with this place in the first place. Perhaps the best review we can give Sonnenhof is what happened today. We arrived home only a few hours ago – our suitcases are not even properly unpacked yet – and I am already making a reservation for our next stay. I think that says it all. 😊 A big thank you to the entire Sonnenhof and ESSBAR team for the wonderful days, the excellent food and, above all, for your genuine warmth and hospitality. Das Hotel ist wunderschön gelegen und bietet eine angenehm ruhige Atmosphäre. Das gesamte Personal war durchweg ausgesprochen freundlich, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an herzlich willkommen gefühlt haben. Für uns war es der erste Aufenthalt und bereits beim Check-out haben wir direkt für das kommende Jahr wieder gebucht. Das spricht sicherlich für sich. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und verfügte sogar über zwei Balkone. Auch kulinarisch wurden wir rundum verwöhnt. Unser Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonders fanden wir die vielen liebevollen Details, wie etwa die Berkel-Aufschnittmaschine, an der man sich frischen Schinken oder Wurst schneiden lassen konnte, sowie den Entsafter für frisch zubereitete Säfte. Es gab eine große Auswahl an Brot, Brötchen, Kuchen und Croissants. Eierspeisen konnten jederzeit frisch bestellt werden. Insgesamt war das Angebot unglaublich umfangreich und bot für jeden Geschmack etwas. Beim Abendessen konnte man aus vier verschiedenen Gerichten wählen. Alternativ bestand die Möglichkeit, gegen einen Aufpreis etwas aus der Karte der „Essbar“ zu bestellen oder sich den entsprechenden Betrag gutschreiben zu lassen und vollständig à la carte zu essen. Zusätzlich gab es wechselnde warme Gerichte vom Buffet, die vor dem Hauptgang angeboten wurden. Alles war köstlich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die offenen Weine waren sehr gut ausgewählt. Auch hervorheben möchten wir den großzügigen Sauna- und Wellnessbereich. Dieser ist sehr einladend gestaltet und bietet kalte Getränke sowie eine große Auswahl an Tees, Nüssen und Datteln. Der Nachmittag ließ sich dort wunderbar in der finnischen Sauna, der Biosauna oder im Kneippbecken verbringen. Vielen Dank für den erholsamen Aufenthalt und die schöne Zeit. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und freuen uns bereits jetzt auf unseren Aufenthalt im kommenden Jahr!
