Inntalautobahn A12 (toll sticker required), exit Wiesing/Achensee, Achensee Federal Road B181, after 7 kilometers turn in the center of Maurach towards Pertisau. It is also possible to travel without tolls via the Achen Pass or Bad Tölz. From Munich to the motorway exit Holzkirchen, Tegernsee, Achen Pass or Bad Tölz – crossing the state border via Achenkirch to Maurach.

Travel by public transport: Take the train to Jenbach station. From there, take the public bus to Lake Achensee. See bus schedule www.vvt.at. The journey to Achensee in Maurach is free of charge upon presenting your reservation confirmation.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this guesthouse on Lake Achensee. The atmosphere is very familiar and warm – you immediately feel welcome. The hosts are incredibly friendly, helpful, and cater to all your needs. The breakfast deserves special mention: super delicious, varied, and lovingly prepared. The guesthouse is beautifully furnished, everything was exceptionally clean, and there is ample parking. Lake Achensee is just a two-minute walk away, and many rooms offer beautiful views of the mountains or the lake directly from the balcony. The value for money is truly excellent. We also particularly appreciated the hosts' many helpful tips for excursions and activities in the area. We have absolutely no complaints and would be happy to return. We highly recommend it!

I've experienced a lot, but you can't find such nice owners! They are like your long-time friends, every morning a great breakfast, when Mrs. Lucie or Mr. Michael will bring you whatever you want "right under your nose" ❤️ They monitor the weather every day, they will immediately come up with a tailor-made "wander" for you, they will advise you on everything and they are really incredibly kind!
