Welcome to our new holiday apartments on the grounds of the "Karwendel - Camping and Achensee Cabin Village" site!
In the new building (the apartments are not located in a wooden block house), we rent one holiday apartment (for 2 to 6 people) and 3 apartments (each for 2 people)

Take the motorway A12 (toll sticker required), exit at Wiesing/Achensee and follow the Achensee federal road B181 until you reach Maurach after 7 kilometres. Toll-free journey is possible via Achenpass or Bad Tölz. From Munich, follow the motorway and exit at Holzkirchen, then continue via Tegernsee and Achenpass or via Bad Tölz to the national border. Follow the road to Achenkirch and drive to Maurach.

Getting here by public transport: Take the traain to the train station Jenbach. From here, Lake Achensee is just a short bus ride away, see bus timetables at www.vvt.at. Your reservation confirmation is your free bus ticket to Maurach.

The nearest airports are Innsbruck (50km), Munich (ca. 140km), and Salzburg (ca. 150km). You can pre-book transfers to and from all airports with Taxi Kröll in Maurach, Tel. +43(5243)43280, www.taxikroell.com or with the airport transfer service Four Seasons Travel Tel. +43(512)584157, www.tirol-taxi.at.

A lovely, well-maintained little campsite near Lake Achensee. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and well-equipped. The on-site restaurant is excellent and highly recommended. Great service, a good selection, and reasonable prices. The lake is about a 5-minute walk away. Of course, the campsite was full during the holiday season, but it was never noisy. It had a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed our three-day stay and would gladly return.

Netter , kleiner Campingplatz mit zuvorkommenden Personal. Morgens Schatten was bei 30 Grad am Tag echt toll ist.

Ruhig gelegener Campingplatz fußläufig vom Achensee entfernt. Sanitäranlagen super sauber. Sehr gute Frühstücksemmeln. Plätze teilweise klein und keine Abgrenzung zum Nachbarn.

What a wonderful week here at Camping Karwendel!! The campsite is situated in a quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle but very close to the lake and the villages. There is a nice restaurant with delicious dishes at good prices. The bathhouse is beautiful and yes, you often have to press the button when showering, but oh well, nice water and clean!! We had a nice spot on the side of the meadow with a beautiful view. The only downside (that's why only 4 stars) is that the price is high. Low season 67, and high season 71 for a camper, 2 people, and 2 small dogs. These two small dogs cost 14 euros together... we always clean everything up, but... kids cost 8 euros. They make more noise and there are more facilities provided for them, such as a playground and a children's toilet. Still, we find this place very special and will definitely come back! Beautiful campsite. Sanitary facilities are top-notch. Close to Maurach and Lake Aachen. The price reflects that, too. 60 euros per night. With electricity and a dog.

Dankeschön für diesen wunderschönen Aufenthalt bei euch. Sehr liebevoll geführter und gepflegter kleiner Campingplatz. Sanitäranlagen sehr modern und sauber. Restaurant ist vorhanden und bietet eine tolle regionale Küche. Zum See läuft man ca 5 Minuten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

We stayed here overnight on our way home from Italy. Very nice, well-maintained campsite, excellent sanitary facilities. The restaurant was great. Unfortunately, the lake was too far away for us water sports enthusiasts. Otherwise, we'd gladly come back.

Pitch: 3/5 Fresh water connections/taps are located very close to each pitch. However, with the exception of the uppermost pitches, these are quite small. The wastewater disposal is poorly designed. Firstly, it's on a slight slope, so it's not guaranteed that the wastewater tank will be completely emptied, and secondly, it's right at the edge of the road. Location: 4/5 A quiet campsite somewhat removed from the village. Even in the height of summer, the uppermost pitches are in the shade from 4:30 pm onwards. Sanitary facilities: 4/5 Modern, clean, and very attractive sanitary facilities. The only downside is that the chemical toilet disposal point is in the same room as the washing machines. Dogs: 5/5 Dogs are welcome – nothing more, nothing less. Workation: 4/5 The campsite itself doesn't offer any infrastructure for workations, but the 5G antenna is located just above the campsite, ensuring excellent internet connectivity. CONCLUSION: 4/5 This campsite is probably in the upper price range - but we will likely end up here again for our next holiday.
