Welcome to Familienparadies Sporthotel Achensee**** – your family-run 4-star hotel for unforgettable holidays in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps in Achenkirch. As a Premium classified children’s hotel, we offer families a wide range of services and amenities for babies, children, teenagers and parents. Here, guests of all ages have plenty of space to play, explore and enjoy precious holiday moments together.

Our 700 m² indoor play world features a soft play area, climbing wall, cinema, disco, teen lounge, Ninja Parcours, Carrera racetrack and an in-house escape room. Outside, our 2,000 m² playground offers even more space for fun and adventure. Childcare is available daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

While the kids are happily entertained, parents can enjoy valuable time together or relax in our 1,200 m² wellness area.

In winter, the Christlum ski area is located right on the hotel’s doorstep, while the cross-country ski trail starts directly by our Seealm. For children aged 3 and over, our in-house ski school is included with selected 7-night stays featuring the ski experience package. Adults can also explore the Christlum ski area together during our ski guiding sessions. Ski passes and ski equipment are not included; a ski rental shop is conveniently located directly in the hotel.

Take the motorway A12 (toll sticker required), exit at Wiesing/Achensee and follow the Achensee federal road B181 until you reach Achenkirch. Toll-free journey is possible via Achenpass or Bad Tölz. From Munich, follow the motorway and exit at Holzkirchen, then continue via Tegernsee and Achenpass or via Bad Tölz to the national border. Follow the road to Achenkirch.

Getting here by public transport: Take the train to the train station Jenbach. From here, Lake Achensee is just a short bus ride away, see bus timetables at www.vvt.at. Your reservation confirmation is your free bus ticket to Achenkirch.

The nearest airports are Innsbruck (50km), Munich (ca. 140km), and Salzburg (ca. 150km). I can highly recommend this hotel. It's superbly equipped, and whether you need a massage after a strenuous hike or would prefer to relax in the sauna, there's something for everyone, young and old! The service staff (at the entrance) are incredibly welcoming, always friendly, and greet you with a smile every day. They gave us new recommendations for hikes and excursions every single day. The kitchen staff remembered our drink orders after just one day, so we didn't have to ask them the next. You can feel the calm and idyllic atmosphere throughout the entire hotel. (No stress, no hustle and bustle.) Pure relaxation! Best regards, and see you next time!

We were there at the end of the season, during the autumn holidays. Very child-friendly, simply great! 😀 The food was delicious and fresh, locally sourced. 👍 Unfortunately, I think the value for money could be better. Our family room smelled strongly of stale smoke, and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned (though it was cleaned again later). The spa area could be cleaner, and the pools also had stains and dirt all over the bottom. They could definitely use some updating. It's a shame. Overall, I have to say we really enjoyed our stay! 👍☺️

A truly wonderful holiday at the Sporthotel Achensee!!! We had a truly wonderful holiday at the Sporthotel Achensee and were completely satisfied. From arrival to departure, we felt very comfortable. We would especially like to highlight the food – it was absolutely fantastic and always delicious. The service was also outstanding. All the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel immediately welcome and well taken care of. A big thank you also goes to the housekeeping staff. The rooms were always clean and tidy, and the staff were always friendly and courteous. A very special highlight for us was the Kids Club. We would like to give a special mention to Gerd. He did a truly fantastic job! Our child felt very comfortable and had an incredible amount of fun. We are therefore very sorry that he is no longer with the Kids Club full-time – because his warm and wonderful personality truly enriched our holiday. Overall, we had a wonderful time and felt very comfortable at the Sporthotel Achensee. Thank you to the entire team for this fantastic holiday! We would love to come back again. ❤️

Das Hotel ist schön, Abendessen und Frühstück gut. Das Mittagessen ist leider nicht sehr umfangreich und geschmacklich nicht empfehlenswert. Leider riecht es sehr unangenehm, da der Pferdestall daneben liegt (getrennt durch Fenster- man sieht die Pferde) Im Kinderbecken Schwamm Kot- wurde nicht entfernt , da der Hausmeister schon Feierabend machte…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic family vacation – we'd love to come back! We stayed at the Sporthotel Achensee for a week with two adults and three children (7 months, 3, and 10 years old) and had a truly wonderful vacation. 🏡 We stayed in the approximately 40 m² Bambini Suite Minnie on the first floor with a large balcony. It was a great, spacious room with a separate children's room and plenty of space for a crib. The changing table integrated into the desk was especially convenient. The room was cleaned daily. 👶 We do have one point of criticism regarding the strollers. We had specifically asked beforehand if strollers with a bassinet were available, as our daughter is only 7 months old. This was confirmed, which is why we left our own stroller at home. However, there were no strollers with a built-in bassinet available at the hotel, but rather two bassinets that could be inserted into a buggy. Some of the strollers were quite old and not particularly clean. Our stroller was an older model without steering on the front wheels, so we always had to lift it to turn around. Perhaps this is a minor complaint, but we expected a bit more from a family hotel in this price range. Upgrading the strollers would be really nice. ❤️ The staff, on the other hand, were truly 12 out of 10! Whether at reception, in the restaurant, or in childcare – everyone was incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating. The table service, in particular, was outstanding and very attentive. 🍽️ The evening menu was excellent every night. We just wished there had been a bit more variety in the salads. A drinks station offered water, apple juice, currant juice, and peach iced tea (zero calories). Other drinks had to be ordered and paid for separately. Lunch was served in the restaurant next door. Unfortunately, we weren't very impressed with the taste; it was rather mediocre. The cake buffet, however, was always delicious. 🎨 The kids' club is located in the basement. After reading some negative reviews regarding the lack of light and the age of the facilities, we were pleasantly surprised. We found it spacious and nicely furnished. Our children loved it there, and there were many great activities offered, some of which cost extra. A highlight for our son was the soccer camp on Thursday and Friday. It took place for two hours each morning and afternoon, and he absolutely loved it. ⚽️ There's also a ninja course, a video wall, and a Carrera racetrack. We found it a bit inconvenient that the swimming pool is only accessible through the kids' club. 🏊 The swimming pool is rather small, but nice. Outside, there's a great swimming pond with a slide, as well as a playground, go-kart track, trampoline, and zip line. Our children had a lot of fun there. 🛗 Unfortunately, the elevators were a bit of a hassle with a stroller. We sometimes had to wait a very long time, and they were often already full. So, we eventually started leaving the stroller and carrying our daughter. Strollers are not permitted in the restaurant area due to space limitations. Understandable, but still a bit inconvenient with a sleeping baby. Bicycles and child carriers are available for rent at the hotel. There are also game tables with integrated screens, billiards, foosball, and two great swings for the little ones. ❤️ Overall, we had a truly wonderful family vacation. We were particularly impressed by the warm and welcoming staff, the excellent service, the delicious dinners, and the many activities for children. Despite the minor drawbacks, the positive experiences far outweighed the negatives. Our children felt very comfortable, and we parents were able to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be back! ❤️

As a family, we were very happy with the hotel and the entire team. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-equipped. The food was a real treat every single day. Parents could choose from a set menu, while the children enjoyed a delicious buffet. It was truly delicious every day. Lunch and afternoon snacks at the Seealm restaurant were also excellent. With so much on offer, the children certainly couldn't get bored. There's an indoor pool, a kids' club, and at the Seealm restaurant, a lovely natural pond and a slide. All in all, it was a fantastic holiday, and we will definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team!

We had a truly wonderful family vacation at the family resort on Lake Achensee and can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. The food was excellent every day – varied, high-quality, and perfect for both adults and children. What impressed us most, however, was the entire family concept. There are so many activities and programs that boredom is simply not an option. The absolute highlight, though, is the childcare. The team does a fantastic job and manages to captivate the children with their warmth, creativity, and good humor. This gives us as parents the chance to actually relax and enjoy our vacation – a real luxury. A special shout-out goes to Timo. He's a real live wire, his good mood is contagious, and he instantly won over our children. Employees like him make all the difference and contribute significantly to making everyone feel completely at ease. Many thanks to the entire team!

We spent 10 days at the hotel and had a wonderful time with our children, aged 7 and 3. The staff were all very friendly, the hotel was spotlessly clean, and very child-friendly. The combination of a buffet for the children and set menus for the parents, served at the table, was perfect and made dinners very relaxed. There are plenty of activities to choose from in and around the hotel, whatever the weather, and the surrounding landscape is stunning. The kids' club and the incredibly friendly staff there are simply fantastic. I'd especially like to commend Sabrina, Camila, Denise, and Timo, who made the duck race a very entertaining event and was otherwise always cheerful and enthusiastic throughout the hotel.
