Erfurter Hütte
The AV Hut is an important tour base in Rofan, near the mountain station of the Rofan cable car and is located in the heart of Rofan. It is a beautifully cozy hut surrounded by the limestone walls of Rofan. The Erfurter Hut belongs to the Alpine Club Ettlingen and is perched in a splendid outlook position at Mauritzköpfl at an altitude of 1,831 meters. In winter, winter climbers can enjoy beautiful ski tours and snowshoe hikes in the hut's tour area. Well-maintained ski slopes are available in the immediate vicinity for alpine skiers.

Inntalautobahn A12 (toll sticker required), exit Wiesing/Achensee, Achensee-Bundesstraße B181, after 7 kilometers you will reach the center of Maurach. There is also a toll-free route via the Achenpass or Bad Tölz. From Munich to the highway exit Holzkirchen, Tegernsee, Achenpass or Bad Tölz – across the state border via Achenkirch further to Maurach and take the Rofan cable car onwards to the hut.
Arrival by public transport: Take the train to Jenbach station. From there, take the public bus to Achensee. See bus schedule www.vvt.at. The journey to Achensee is free of charge upon showing your reservation confirmation.
