Good to know

How to play padel
  • Padel is a cross between tennis and squash and is currently one of the fastest-growing sports in Europe. It is played in doubles (four players) on a compact court enclosed by glass and mesh walls.
  • Similar to squash, the ball can bounce off the walls, allowing you to keep the rally going after a rebound.
  • While the scoring and general rules mirror those of tennis, the serve is underhand. This results in longer, more dynamic rallies that emphasize strategy over raw power.
  • Padel is remarkably easy to learn. Thanks to the smaller court size and intuitive technique, no prior experience or coaching is required - simply grab a racket and get started!

Equipment hire

Would you like to try padel but don't have your own equipment? No problem! You can hire rackets and balls directly from Sport Leithner, so you can start playing right away.
