Achensee youth programme
Fun, action and sporting challenges: The Achensee region offers the varied Achensee youth programme (from 1 July to 6 September 2024) with many exciting activities on land and on the water. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of our young participants between the ages of 10 and 16, the activities will be overseen by a team of qualified supervisors. Curious? Your unforgettable Achensee adventure starts here!
We start by exploring the countryside on Segways. Trendy, ingenious and eco-friendly, these two-wheeled vehicles can be steered in any direction simply by shifting your weight. To cool off, we head out on the lake in a canoe. Discover beautiful places you might otherwise never see. Along the way, we look for a rest place where we refuel with some well-deserved snacks. Don’t forget to bring swimwear and a snack. There will be no wetsuits available, please bring weather appropriate clothing. Minimum age 12 years.

Put on your safety harness and off you go! Try secured rock climbing at the newly built crag Achenseehof. Clamber up the 18-metre high wall and enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Achensee. Of course, the guides will provide tips and tricks for climbing. Please bring rain gear, a warm jacket and your own lunch!

We ride down the river on tubes and stop off at a bay where we are going to jump into plunge pools. Who dares to jump from the rocks into the deep pools? Equipped with wetsuit, helmet and life jacket, you will be ready for any challenge. Please bring swimwear and an extra pair of sports shoes that may get wet. Minimum age 12 years.

Participation requirements: Good swimming skills and appropriate fitness level for a hike of moderate difficulty are required today! The safety of our participants is our utmost priority! Therefore, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel tours or to choose alternative tours in case of high water or other dangerous weather conditions.

Are you sure-footed and unafraid of heights, but want to avoid complicated rope climbing manoeuvres? Then this is for you. Our experienced guide will provide you with the necessary equipment on site and give you an introduction to the routes. You start off with easy abseil sections and a suspension bridge, and once you feel confident, you can progress to more difficult sections. Minimum age 12 years.

- Registration: Registration is required. Register no later than 17.00 on the day before.
Good to know
- Ages: All youngsters between 10 and 16 years old staying in the Achensee holiday region welcome to join. Children aged between 4 and 10 years can participate in our children's programme.
- Cost: Participation fees are payable upon registration at the information offices or online at the Achensee experience shop. The confirmation of payment must be handed over to the supervisor/ guide. Free cancellations are possible up to one week prior to the planned activity. Refunds due to injury or illness are only paid upon presentation of a medical certificate!
- Registration & group size: Registration is required. Register no later than 17.00 on the day before online at the Achensee experience shop. or by phone at the local information offices. Group size: maximum 8 people!
- What else is important: If the weather is extremely bad or if there are not enough participants (min. 2 persons), we reserve the right to cancel the programme at short notice. The organizer accepts no liability for accidents of any kind!
