Snowkiting at Lake Achensee

Lake Achensee boasts an expansive open snowkiting area in Achenkirch with perfect wind conditions. Which is key, because in snowkiting you use the wind for propulsion. You can start snowkiting in 4 knots, which is about 10 kilometres per hour. And there is almost always wind at Lake Achensee. In addition, the area is specially prepared to provide the perfect surface for snowkiting.
You require a base level of fitness and solid intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding skills. Snowkiting is an exhilarating outdoor sporting activity suitable for all ages. Children can start at 7 years old. It is a sport that relies on technique, and you can always improve your skills.
