Wusel the water spirit at Lake Achensee
Meet Wusel, the playful water spirit of Lake Achensee. With his constantly tousled, wind-blown hair, you can tell he spends all his time swimming and diving. Today, Wusel was having a perfect morning, rocking gently on the waves like a contented hammock, enjoying the utter peace of the lake. He lazily dipped his hand into the water, slid his fingers through it, and suddenly cried, "Yuck!" Stuck between his fingers were tell-tale reddish threads - burgundy blood algae. This is a code-red crisis! If the algae spreads, the crystal-clear lake will turn a sickly red and become toxic, threatening both humans and aquatic animals.
Heinz Hecht, a quick-witted pike, heard Wusel's cry and rushed to the scene. "This is an emergency! We need the whole agile fish fleet!" Heinz explained. "We can save the lake if the fish mix the water really well, but you know what that means, right?" The quiet life is officially over for Wusel.
