The first pri­va­te bre­we­ry of the Achen­see re­gi­on was es­ta­blis­hed in De­cem­ber 2010. The Achen­see beer has a truly uni­que taste. It is bre­wed from the pu­rest Kar­wen­del water, hops, bar­ley and wheat malt. Gui­ded tours give you a glim­pse be­hind the sce­nes of the pri­va­te bre­we­ry. An­yo­ne who sim­ply wants a taste can try the na­tu­ral­ly clou­dy light beer, wheat beer and a va­rie­ty of sea­so­nal beers at the Lang­lauf­st­überl or at Hotel Karl­wirt in Per­ti­sau.
