Long-forgotten local customs are brought back to life in this museum village.

There is a special exhibition showing paintings, along with examples of embroidery and carvings made by local artists. Other highlights on display are Pepi’s picture house and Grandma Annie’s dollhouse, the “Achenseebahn” steam train exhibition, and the “Traktorium”, where you can marvel at vintage farm tractors, agricultural machinery, cars and motorbikes.


In winter, the Achensee Museum World opens its doors again - an annual established event in the Advent season is the Museum Christmas on December 8th.


Please note: Opening is possible for tour groups by prior reservation.
