Tristenau – Short Circular Walk

This easy winter hike begins at the car park Karwendel valleys near the cross-country skiing centre in Pertisau. The groomed path leads through the quiet, wooded Tristenautal valley, circling the extensive grounds of Tirol's oldest golf course, which has 18 holes. Much of the loop runs within sight of the nearby cross-country ski tracks. The final section takes you back into the village. Just above the Karwendel cable car, turn left where the path joins the village road, which will take you back to the starting point. The 3.6km loop stays just under 1,000m in altitude and features only slight inclines of about 30m. Walking time: 50 minutes to 1 hour.
