With 38 independent routes, the Grauwand climbing crag in the Rofan mountains offers some of the best limestone climbing. The routes are mostly vertical to slightly overhanging and required good climbing skills and technique. The south-facing climbing crag is up to 30 metres high and features routes graded 5c to 8a. The Grauwand was one of the first climbing crags in the Rofan. It was built by Hannes Salvenmoser and Otto Oelze in the summer of 1999. In the summer of 2021, all routes were renovated.
