Appartements Achensee

The Apartments Achensee are located in a very quiet area surrounded by meadows, just a 5-minute walk from the center of Maurach and a 10-minute stroll from Lake Achensee. Families particularly appreciate the location, and the panoramic glazing from wall to wall in each living room offers a marvelous view of the mountainous landscape and the lake.

All apartments feature a generous balcony or terrace with stunning views of the mountains. Each apartment has a separate bathroom and fully equipped kitchens.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, as well as free parking options. All apartments have modern flat-screen TVs with satellite reception and their own private Netflix accessibility.

Take the motorway A12 (toll sticker required), exit at Wiesing/Achensee and follow the Achensee federal road B181 until you reach Maurach after 7 kilometres. Toll-free journey is possible via Achenpass or Bad Tölz. From Munich, follow the motorway and exit at Holzkirchen, then continue via Tegernsee and Achenpass or via Bad Tölz to the national border. Follow the road to Achenkirch and drive to Maurach.

Getting here by public transport: Take the traain to the train station Jenbach. From here, Lake Achensee is just a short bus ride away, see bus timetables at www.vvt.at. Your reservation confirmation is your free bus ticket to Maurach.

The nearest airports are Innsbruck (50km), Munich (ca. 140km), and Salzburg (ca. 150km). We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The location is excellent, very close to the lake and ideal for relaxation and excursions. The apartment was exceptionally clean, the rooms were spacious, and the interior was modern and renovated to a high standard. The very comfortable beds and the superbly equipped kitchen, which truly lacked nothing, deserve special mention. Check-in was straightforward and seamless. Another highlight was the fantastic playroom, which is a huge plus, especially for families. Overall, we would book this accommodation again without hesitation.

I don't know how to say it but in one word perfection. The rooms are beautiful, the view is exclusive, the equipment is perfect down to the smallest detail. We were 5 friends for the weekend and we got rooms in the lower part with a view of the lake. At the main entrance there is a small safe where after entering the code you get a special security key with which you open the room, the entrance, the bike room and everything you need. The rooms are equipped like at home. Dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster. Capsules for the dishwasher, complete dishes, pots, pans, everything you have at home. In the basement there is a children's corner and a bike room where there are 2 washing machines and only one dryer. For 1 € 33 minutes of drying and for 2 € a washing machine. I don't know the time there, the dryer was used because we got wet. Well, for me, perfect in all respects and we will be happy to return.

A beautifully renovated holiday apartment with fantastic furnishings, a great layout, and a large balcony. In the basement, there's a games room with foosball, a climbing wall, and a ping-pong table. The garden features a barbecue area and a lovely playground. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and practically furnished. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location is absolutely quiet and conveniently situated for the town center and Lake Achensee. The Atoll water park is highly recommended and easily reachable on foot. The paragliding landing area and the steam train stop are in the immediate vicinity. There are also plenty of wonderful hiking trails.

We stayed in a newly renovated apartment, but I'm not sure if it's like that for everyone. Everything looks good and is clean. The rooms even have smart TVs. The hallway is also beautifully designed and bright. You just have to be lucky that there aren't any families with small children above you; we were unlucky enough to have children trampling all over us in their ski boots early in the morning. The apartment is good value for money and its location makes it popular with young families, some of whom aren't considerate. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic couples getaway. The location is great, and you can reach a supermarket (Spar) and good restaurants (MG, a Pizza Arthur, etc.) within a few minutes' walk. For ski rentals, there's the Wörndle, also a few minutes' walk away. There you can rent ski equipment in a relaxed atmosphere without much hustle and bustle. The view of the mountains and Lake Achensee is unforgettable and a huge plus. Unfortunately, the glass sliding doors are showing their age; by morning, they're very foggy (inside), and the parquet floor gets wet. We'll have to keep an eye on them for mold, as the window seals need replacing. At night, when it's windy, the sliding doors rattle/knock a bit, which made it difficult for us to sleep one night. On the positive side, there are portable heaters in the room (they're silent and work perfectly), so the old windows aren't too bad. We had a very nice time and would love to come back.

I really liked the hotel. It's conveniently located, quiet, and not far from the downtown area where the shops are. It's quiet and cozy. The rooms are bright, clean, and have nice furniture and mattresses. The kitchen has everything you need: dishes, glasses, a stovetop, a dishwasher, a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, and more. The view from the room is especially special; it's unforgettable. Waking up in the morning, you'll see a beautiful mountain view through the panoramic windows. Special thanks to the hotel owner. He's a pleasant man who really cares about his guests' opinions.
