Alpenhotel Tyrol - ADULTS ONLY

Welcome to the coolest 4-star hotel at Lake Achensee. Casual, laid-back, and relaxed during your vacation surrounded by mountains and Lake Achensee. Our hotel is located in the upper village of Pertisau in Tyrol, right by the golf course and at the entrance to the beautiful Karwendel valleys. You can reach everything important within a few minutes from us. You will vacation in one of the most famous and oldest houses at Lake Achensee. Young, dynamic, and with a modern-urban touch, the Alpenhotel Tyrol presents itself. With more than 500 breakfast items, our comprehensive organic breakfast buffet has already made a name for itself in the region. And although we are not a wellness hotel, we delight guests with our various experience saunas, such as the wagon sauna, Volbeat sauna/infrarot combo, the container sauna, or our solid wood Swiss stone pine sauna in the house. Another highlight is our 12-meter-high climbing wall "ArtRock" and the wide range of outdoor activities we offer. Stop by at the Alpenhotel Tyrol - the young place of relaxation and a meeting point for all who love nature, Lake Achensee, and life just like we do! #alpenhoteltyrol

After the takeover, hotel owner Roland made several changes to the Alpenhotel. According to his vision, the concept should focus more on sustainability and ecological action. To transform the Alpenhotel Tyrol into a sustainable hotel, he immediately addressed the following points:

  • as little plastic as possible
  • as little single-use as possible
  • as much as possible from recyclable materials

We also launched the AHT sustainability concept. No daily room cleaning or towel change, energy-saving systems throughout the hotel. Sustainable energy. Homemade products, products from the region, and local producers with a low or zero CO₂ footprint.

6€ per person per day will be charged for the AHT sustainability surcharge, which is exclusively used for purchasing products and promoting local producers and suppliers.

A very nice hotel right by Lake Achensee. Even though we don't have a dog, we felt very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the many different saunas and the incredibly generous breakfast. We will definitely come back.

We were here last weekend with the RAM and RTR. The owner and his wife are very friendly and always up for a joke. They really put a lot of thought into the room allocation, thanks again for that. The view of the lake and mountains is breathtaking, both day and night. The bathroom has a motion-activated light and a radio. Quite unique! 🤣👍 The breakfast buffet is ample and good; the homemade waffles were especially delicious. 🤗 Everything else is clean and tidy, the parking lot is large enough for 30 RAMs, and the hotel's design is unique and beautiful. The gym isn't a weightlifting paradise but is really designed for pure fitness. I really like the access to the rooftop terrace with its swing, and I also appreciate that there's a shower and toilet right there. No need to run back to the room. All in all – we'd love to come back next year! 🤗🥰

Unfortunately, we were only there for a short stay! Roland loves his job!! Everything is truly top-notch and made with lots of love. I've never stayed at a hotel where dogs are so welcome. Fenya was allowed to go everywhere, and there's a dedicated dog pool. And then we were also lucky enough to be there for the AHT Dachshund Days and, as the icing on the cake, we got some great pictures of our furry friend 🐾 What you definitely shouldn't miss are the evenings when Roland cooks. We had the "Wiener Schnitzel Evening" and it was absolutely delicious 😋

"The coolest four-star hotel" isn't just a slogan, Roland and Denise live it, and they really, really do. 😎 But first things first: The breakfast is legendary – almost everything is homemade, a huge selection of tea and hot chocolate, home-roasted coffee beans (sic!), lots of regional produce. Everything is cut to size so everyone can take the portion they want. And sometimes they even offer an extra espresso on the house 😎. It's a breakfast hotel, but they also offer evening events that are highly recommended – schnitzel night, I'm just saying. The concept is truly serious about sustainability. Towels are changed often enough, but not daily; packaging is avoided wherever possible; room service isn't daily either, but often enough – if you want more, you pay more. There's a lot of self-service, based on trust – take a drink from the fridge, put the money in the cash register, and you're done. We found that incredibly relaxing and laid-back. Anyone who likes to be waited on from start to finish will turn up their nose, but hey... The wellness area in the basement is incredibly chic, there's no other way to put it, and in the garden are small individual saunas, infrared cabins, and cold cabins – if you don't want to sit in the sauna with lots of strangers. There's also a small pool. However, it's in the entrance area and therefore a bit "public." The Karwendel region is great for hiking. The hotel itself is on komoot and has tours for every taste, which the two owners and their dogs have hiked themselves. We hiked five of the tours ourselves, and they were all great. Roland also gives tips, can assess the weather, and has a good sense of what guests should expect. The rooms are perfectly fine. Yes, there's no minibar, which was criticized here, but you can buy something in the lounge. The bathroom was very chic, and the rest of the hotel was in classic Alpine style. Probably too simple for the boutique hotel guest, but here too: my... As a dog, you live in paradise. Our Clair was already filling out the adoption papers: Roland always gives her a treat (homemade) and cuddles, her own blanket at breakfast, a blanket and bowl in the room, raw food, and lots of nice little things you can buy. A small fenced-in dog park would be great, but there's no space. The location is also good – a quiet side street, five minutes to the lake – more like ten with sniffing 😄 – and the hiking trails start right at the hotel. The decisive factor for our rating, however, are the two hosts, who really take care of all their guests and have a good sense of who needs what and when – when the Dodge RAM Range Rover guys invaded the hotel, they paid extreme attention to the well-being of the guests, who aren't so familiar with American trucks and their drivers 😎. Thanks at this point. We don't understand the bad reviews; all you hear is "mi mi mi." The entire concept is presented on the website; anyone who doesn't like that, comes anyway, and then complains obviously has problems. Yes, we wouldn't recommend the hotel to everyone, at least not to those looking for a "classic, sophisticated" four-star hotel with all the bells and whistles, but we would recommend it to everyone else. Thanks again to Denise and Roland – it was a fantastic week. See you soon!
