Safety tips

Looking forward to hitting the slopes? To ensure that everybody has a great time, it is important to keep safety in mind when enjoying time on the ski slopes. Know the FIS rules, slope ratings & emergency numbers.

Equipment rental

Travel lighter and take advantage of the region’s rental options. The local sport shops offer high-quality winter sports gear to rent, giving you the opportunity to test the latest equipment: skis, boots, poles, helmets and more.

A couple enjoys a day of skiing in the Rofan mountains overlooking the snowy landscapes, backdropped by the distinctive Ebner Joch.

Accommodations

The Achensee holiday region offers accommodations to suit everyone: inns, pensions, holiday apartments, farm-stay holidays, and hotels from budget to 5-star. There are also five campsites in the region which are located directly at the lake or close to cross-country ski trails and ski areas.

Free regional buses

Public transport is a fast and eco-friendly way to explore the Achensee region. In winter, the regional buses run more frequently, doubling as ski shuttles serving all ski areas. The AchenseeCard, the region’s visitor card which you receive from your accommodation provider, is your free bus ticket.
