Skiing at Lake Achensee
Four ski areas and two practice hills which have a total of 53 kilometres of pistes and an extensive programme for the whole family provide unlimited fun in the snow.
Optimally suited for the whole family
The ski areas around Achensee are small, perfectly formed and offering plenty of diversity. Due to the vast number of broad pistes, the ski areas in Achensee are especially suited to families. Yet fans of carving and snowboarders also hold the range on offer in high regard. The Christlum lift in Achenkirch, the Rofan cable car in Maurach, the Karwendel cable car in Pertisau and the lifts in Steinberg and Wiesing provide a total of 30 ascent aids and access to 53 kilometres of pistes up to an altitude of almost 1900 metres.
The six ski schools in the region offer courses for every ability level – from private lessons through up to weekly courses. Even the littlest tots can have lots of fun learning to ski in any of our ski-schools in the region.
