Advent & Christmas market programme

With a varied programme for all ages, a visit to the Lake Achensee Christmas markets is sure to be a special experience. Festively lit stalls, the comforting aroma of mulled wine and freshly baked treats, and the winter snow come together to create a unique atmosphere. As you stroll through the snow-covered markets, you'll feel completely immersed in the magic of the Advent and Christmas season.

Where? The Landweihnacht is located at the Kräuterhüttl in Achenkirch.

When? Christmas market: From 28 November to 28 December 2025, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:30 to 17:00.

Kräuterhüttl shop: Open daily from 29 December 2025 to 6 January 2026 from 11:30 to 17:00.

During the Christmas season, the regular boat service transforms into a festive floating Advent market. The beautifully decorated ship glows with warm light, inviting you to relax, discover, and marvel. Onboard, you'll find regional specialities, handicrafts, and a delightful Christmas atmosphere at lovingly decorated stands. You can also disembark at the piers in Pertisau and Achenkirch to explore the other local Christmas markets and then resume your journey.

Where? The Tirolean Mountain Christmas is located in the Sixenhof local history museum in Achenkirch.

When? From 28 November to 28 December 2025, every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from 12:00 to 17:00.

Experience an atmospheric journey back in time inside the centuries-old stable of the Sixenhof. Life-size figures, live animals, and impressive wall projections tell the Achental version of the Christmas story. Your ticket to the Tirolean Mountain Christmas also grants you access to the lovingly designed showrooms of the Sixenhof local history museum. Inside the original farmers' bedroom, you'll find a traditionally decorated Christmas tree and one of the oldest nativity scenes in the Achental. Afterward, a cosy gathering with mulled wine, tea, or coffee and original Achentaler Zelten invites you to linger.
