The region boasts a network of over 200 kilometres of groomed and track-set trails. Skating or classic style, beginners or experts, there are trails to suit every ability.

The current snow report shows a round-up of snow conditions and winter sports opportunities in the Achensee region. The snow report is updated daily at 8.00 in the morning with open ski lifts and where to find the best cross-country skiing conditions. Wax-Coach – the daily waxing recommendation
In addition to the excellent cross-country trail network with trails in all levels of difficulty, the Achensee region also offers a special service for cross-country skiers. The Wax Coach has daily updated wax recommendations for professionals, ambitious and recreational athletes, allowing skiers to make the most of their Nordic skiing experience.
The Wax Coach recommendations are also displayed on a screen at the cross-country skiing centre Pertisau, with live weather data showing on LED scrolling displays.

The Achensee region has numerous ski schools offering cross-country skiing lessons for all abilities. The standards for cross-country ski instruction were also set in the region and are the foundation of training to this day.
