Culinary experiences at mountain huts
Hiking enthusiasts who enjoy a good ramble over meadows, into the woods and into the mountains should pack some provisions for snacking in between. Usually you don’t need more, because along the hiking trails in the Karwendel and Rofan mountains numerous alpine pastures and huts invite you to stop by.
The mountain huts provide welcome rest and much-deserved refreshments. After all, you have already tackled some kilometres. Look forward to Tirolean dishes that are sure to get your tastebuds tingling: all kinds of dumplings, Kasspatzln (soft egg noodles mixed with grated cheese and sprinkled with fried onion), Tiroler Gröstl (bacon, onion and potato fry-up), delicious Kaiserschmarrn (a sweet, fluffy shredded pancake served with plum or apple compote), and much more. Have a seat on the beautiful sun terrace, choose from a variety of energy-boosting meals, and soak in stunning views of the mountains and the lake.
