Description

From the Steinberg parish church head north past the church, follow the path down and walk across the bridge. After crossing the Steinberg road, follow the steep path across a meadow to the farm above. Follow the road to the right and after the last house follow the forest road off to the left for a short while before taking a trail signposted “Guffert”. At the “Guffertstein”, walk to the right and continue along to the steep path, visible from far away, up to the “Breitlahneralm” mountain hut (not serviced) and from there head downwards to the right to the “Neubergalm” mountain hut (not serviced). The steep path descends via the “Pircheralm” mountain hut (not serviced) to the asphalt road. Follow the road on the right in the direction Steinberg until you return to the starting point along the same route.
