Achensee Xtreme – Individual Race

The wait is over – the “Achensee Xtreme” Individual Race is making a comeback in winter 2025: On 23. February 2025, the Rofan area will once again host one of the most legendary ski touring races in Austria. Once a must-attend event for ski mountaineers, a guarantee for exciting competitions and unforgettable moments, the race is now returning. With renewed vigor, the tradition is being resumed - ready to add another chapter to the history of the “Achensee Xtreme.” Be there as the elite of ski mountaineers compete again at Achensee.

• Race number collection: Race numbers can be collected upon presentation of a registration confirmation on Saturday, 22 February 2025, from 08.30 to 11.30, and on Sunday, 23 February 2025, from 07.30 to 08.30 at the latest, at the valley station of the Rofan cable car. Participants with a combined ticket will use the same race number for both race days (only one pick-up is required). Each participant will receive two race numbers: one for the thigh and one for the rucksack.
• Cable car ride: Ascent with the Rofan cable car from 08.00
• The course briefing and instructions by the course manager, as well as the starting line-up and avalanche transceiver check, will take place from 09.45.
• Start time & route: The race kicks off on Sunday, 23 February 2025, at 10.00 from the top station of the Rofan cable car / Erfurter Hütte (1,860m)
  • Course of the Individual Race - Men Masters + Senior: The competitors climb three times to the Seekarlspitze (2,261m) and twice towards the Haidachstellwand.
  • Course Individual Race - Women all classes + U16 / U18 / U20 Men: The competitors climb twice to the Seekarlspitze (2,261m) and twice towards the Haidachstellwand.
• Award ceremony: The award ceremony will take place approximately 30 minutes after the end of the Individual Race. The Ski Touring King and Queen of the SKIMO Alpine Cup will also be crowned during this event.
• From 13.00: Pasta party in the huts on the Rofan.  
• Raffle prize drawing.
• Descent with the Rofan cable car until 17.00.
