Ballooning Days at Lake Achensee

A journey through the winter sky: Climb on board, take off, enjoy the freedom while floating above ground. Anyone who wants to experience the special feeling of drifting in lofty heights over the snow-covered landscape around Lake Achensee should save the date for the International Ballooning Days Achensee from 2nd to 8th March 2020.

From 2nd March the colourful hot air balloons will start up every  day for passenger rides into the winter sky. The ticket price is EUR 260 per person (tours can be booked at the Achensee Tourist Office) and includes setting up and deflating the envelope, the balloon ride and transport back to the starting point as well as the traditional certificate presentation and reception. Special tip for romantics: The Nightglow will take place on 3rd March: Illuminated balloons outshine each other and create a spectacular view on the northern shore of Tirol’s largest lake.

8.00 a.m. 2nd balloon ride with passengers, starting point in Achenkirch
8.00 p.m. Nightglow – The night of the balloons in Achenkirch near the car park of the Christlum lifts. A fascinating event with illuminated balloons and cool sound. Food and drinks will be provided by the team of the Skilehrerstüberl/Salettl of the Christlum lifts. Duration approx. 1 hour – admission is free.

2.00 p.m. Children’s afternoon  – lots to explore for children like a walkable envelope and a captive balloon. Also present are the Clowns Tino and Pia and Jupp Hein.

8.00 a.m. 7th balloon ride with passengers, starting point in Achenkirch

A balloon ride costs EUR 260 per person.
Duration: minimum 60 min.
Maximum number of participants per balloon: 6 passengers
Children (minimum body height 1.30m) up to 14 years EUR 180
