The Fischergut will be filled with the scent of gingerbread, cinnamon and mulled wine. Market stalls will offer homemade delicacies and traditional handicrafts from the region.

The market days will be opened with the lighting of the first large lantern while a Christmas story is being read. While the adults take a stroll among the Christmas trees in the life-size Advent wreath, learn how to make Advent wreaths in the barn or listen to the traditional brass musicians and singers, the children are looking forward to pony riding in the snow, making Christmas decorations and writing letters to the Christ Child.

2nd December – Arrival of Saint Nicholas!
Saint Nicholas will visit the Mountain Advent at the “Fischergut” at 4.00 p.m. All well-behaved children will receive small presents. As patron saint of sailors and boatmen, Saint Nicholas of Myra will arrive by ship in Pertisau. After the children have met him at the jetty at 4.00 p.m. they will accompany him to the “Fischergut”. Saint Nicholas will read a story to the children and hand out small presents.

9th December – Animated Advent Calendar
Every day in December up to Christmas Eve, a door of the Advent calendar will be brought to life. As part of the 200th anniversary of the “Silent Night! Holy Night!” song this event will take place at the Mountain Advent at the Fischergut on 9th December at 4.00 p.m. Special features of the “Silent Night” will be unveiled – how the song reached us 200 (or 2000 years) ago, how it is encountered today, and how it will enlighten us in the future. Presented in a pop-up advent calendar, the contents will remain visible for thirty minutes and fade into silence until the next day. Most contents will be music and literature pieces presented by personalities from the region and country.

22nd December – Musical one-act play within the Anniversary of Silent Night
Two singing duos from the 19th century who want to build on the success of the song “Silent Night! Holy Night”, give a performance that conveys the artistry of Tirolean music culture. Starting from the Silent Night song, which is mainly used as a reference, the variety of Tirolean Christmas and Advent music is celebrated. The piece tells the story of the Silent Night in an accessible, entertaining, humorous and playful way, without actually singing the Silent Night song.
