Achensee Run

The traditional Achensee Run takes place on the first weekend in September. Every year ambitious guests race together with top-class athletes on the 23.2 km course around Achensee. On the 7th and 8th of September 2019 the Achensee run celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Nearly 1.500 participants are expected at the mass start on Austria‘s most scenic panorama trail, among them numerous stars from the international running scene.
It all kicks off on Sunday 8th September 2019 at 10.00 a.m. below the car park of the Karwendel cable car in Pertisau.

The best runners will cover this 23.2 kilometre, demanding cross-country route in one hour and 15 to 20 minutes. Every year the relay race for two runners is particularly exciting; it has been offered as an additional event since 2009.

The Salming fitness run covering 10 kilometres and the children’s run covering 0.5 to 2.5 kilometres will take place on Saturday. The runs start at 5.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. at Fischergut in Pertisau, where the award ceremony is held from 7.00 p.m.

Training camp

If you want to warm up for the event you can sign up for the “Achensee running training camp” training camp from 16th to 19th May 2019, which includes health checks and expert care for ideal preparation. The package which includes three nights, half board, training and other extras like running style analysis and product testing, as well as the entry fee for the Achensee run costs EUR 495 per person.
