In addition to many sports and leisure activities in the Achensee region, the surroundings also offer many interesting and impressive attractions. Tirol’s capital Innsbruck boasts a wide range of cultural sights, the city of Kufstein has a fascinating historical background dating back to the Middle Ages, and Munich has many cultural offerings.

Okay, Innsbruck, has twice hosted the Winter Olympics and is used to athletic records. But somehow everything seems to be possibly record-breaking in the Tirolean capital, including accessible travel. For holiday guests with disabilities there are many tours through the old town of Innsbruck. Lovers of modern architecture and art will find state of the art, such as the barrier-free accessible ski jump at Bergisel, designed by Zaha Hadid, one of the most innovative architects of our time.

The Kufstein holiday region with its eight villages surrounding the historic fortified city, only one hour by train from Munich, is one of the best addresses for guests from Germany. Whether culturally – the Tirolean Festival, Beethoven’s Days, the operetta summer at the Kufstein Fortress, the world famous Passion Play in Thiersee and Erl – or as a natural experience around the massif of the Wilder Kaiser.
