Karwendel cable car in Pertisau
The Karwendel cable car takes visitors from Pertisau up to the Zwölferkopf, from where they don’t just get to enjoy the superb view over the turquoise, shimmering Lake Achensee. Thanks to its special thermal lifts, the mountain, which is 1480 metres high, is also one of the preferred starting points for paragliders and you get to watch them making their preparations. In around half an hour you reach the traditional Bärenbadalm, which offers any amount of tasty Tirolean treats. Those who prefer not to take the cable car back, can return to the valley during a one-hour hike via the scenic Tunnelweg trail.
Rofan cable car in Maurach
The Rofan cable car connects Maurach to the Rofan mountain range which is situated opposite. It provides access to countless hiking tours which have fantastic summit adventures in store at up to 2299 metres.
The absolute highlight is the one-hour hike to the Dalfazalm mountain hut with an interim stop at the same named waterfall during the descent to Maurach.
