Karwendel cable car in Pertisau
The Karwendel cable car takes visitors from Pertisau up to the Zwölferkopf, from where they get to enjoy the superb view over the turquoise waters of Lake Achensee. Thanks to its special thermals, the mountain which stands 1,480 metres tall is also one of the preferred starting points for paragliders and visitors get to watch them getting ready for take-off. The traditional Bärenbadalm is within a walking distance of half an hour and offers a variety of tasty Tirolean treats. Those who prefer not to take the cable car back, can return to the valley on a one-hour hike via the scenic Tunnelweg trail.
Rofan cable car in Maurach
The absolute highlight is the one-hour hike to the Dalfazalm mountain hut with a stop at the same named waterfall during the descent to Maurach.
