The Achensee snowshoeing camp is designed for snowshoers who want to develop the skills for safe travel in open terrain. Learn from our expert guides how to get started, how to minimize your exposure to risk, and how to respect nature and wildlife.

ACHENSEE WINTER HIKING PROGRAMME From the Langlaufstüberl, we head into the valley towards Tristenau.The tour leads over the golf course to the riverbed of the Tribachl and from there back to the starting point. Expect a fun winter walk where we can watch small denizens of the forest (birds, squirrels, etc.).

The "Achensee via ferrata camp" is run by certified mountain guides who assist participants in developing the required techniques, knowledge, and confidence to climb via ferrata. The guides also share information about equipment and how to stay safe in the mountains.

Crazy and yet already traditional - one thing is clear at the New Year's Eve swim: everyone who takes part here must bring along a large portion of craziness to jump into the ice-cold Achensee at a water temperature of four degrees and then swim a distance of 50 meters.

At the Achensee Ski Touring Camps (20/21 January, 27/28 January, 01/02 February), mountain & ski guides explain in safety training sessions how to behave correctly on the mountain - not only in emergency situations. Learn how to assess the terrain and how to use avalanche safety gear. Please note that all sessions will be in German (advanced level).

ACHENSEE WINTER HIKING PROGRAMME This hike has the motto “pastures: natural vs. cultivated landscapes”.From the parking lot, we walk across the bridge over the Pletzach into the Gerntal valley. Beautiful paths take us through a wonderful mountain forest which is home to a rich variety of wildlife (red deer, roe deer, ...). We follow the trail and soon we reach the panoramic and expansive alpine meadows of the Pletzachalm pasture. Afterwards, we walk back to the starting point.

45-60min photoshooting at one choosen place around the lake achensee in relaxed atmosphere. Good for: Birthday, Wedding Anniversary or just some beautiful holiday pictures.
