Runner’s Paradise Lake Achensee

From running to Nordic walking to trail running, the Achensee region offers numerous routes in all levels of difficulty, whether you are new to the sport or a professional. The perfect conditions and infrastructure plus a variety of top events make the region a runner’s paradise with diverse routes in the mountains, in the valleys and at the lake.
The region boasts 183 kilometres of waymarked running trails, and 19 of the 23 routes are also most suitable for Nordic walking. Those who are looking for steep trails and true mountain adventures choose the route from Buchau to the Dalfaz Alm at an elevation of 1692 metres and to the Erfurter Hütte at an elevation of 1831 metres. Another popular highlight is the loop around Lake Achensee which also provides the breathtaking backdrop for the Achensee Run.
Training camps for the perfect preparation
The Achensee Running Camp from 17 to 20 June 2021 offers the perfect opportunity to prepare for the upcoming running season. The course is aimed at all runners who usually run distances between 5 kilometes and a half marathon. The camp is run by expert coach and sports scientist Ben Reszel. In addition to the training sessions, there will be analyses and tips on running technique to prepare you for the running season. Interesting lectures on training and nutrition round off the weekend.
